Consolidations

Consolidations offer a cost effective method of air transport. They are ideal for non time sensitive cargo with a lesser range of flight dates available. Many consol services are weekly.

Consols are generally organised by smaller shipping companies who consolidate multiple items of cargo to be carried by a single scheduled or chartered flight. These will generally be at regular intervals such as once a week. The benefit is that the shipper gets to buy cargo space in bulk and thus reduce the cost of each item on that flight making consols cheaper than expedited premium services.

Availability of consols is dependent of region, with the most popular routes offer the widest choice of services and the the more remote destinations often offering none at all.
